The Story Behind The Sips…

How a few of our favorite drinks got their names

At Rebelz, we name our drinks the same way we make them—intentionally, with a little bit of Sierra soul mixed in. These names come from real places we love, memories we’ve made, and the flavors we think best capture the feeling of being up here in the mountains.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, here’s a look at where some of our signature drinks come from—and why they’re more than just coffee.

Cascadel

Caramel + Vanilla Latte
Cascadel is one of those drinks that feels like home—warm, sweet, and steady. We named it after Cascadel Falls, not just for the place, but for the memory of standing near the water, steam from your cup mixing with the mist in the air. It’s a simple drink, but there’s something about it that always feels like you’re slowing down—just enough to breathe.

Trail Mix

Hazelnut + Banana + Mocha
Sweet, nutty, chocolatey—this one’s for the hikers and the road trippers. It tastes like the kind of snack you’d pull out of your pack halfway up a trail, the perfect mix of energy and comfort. A little weird on paper, maybe, but kind of genius once you try it.

The Monarch

Orange + White Mocha, Lemonade + Red Bull
This drink was made to stand out. Just like the monarch butterflies that migrate through California, it’s bright, unexpected, and hard to forget. Tangy citrus, sweet white mocha, and a hit of Red Bull—it’s transformation in a cup.

Madera Peak

Peach + White Mocha, Lemonade + Red Bull
Light and bright with just enough sweetness to make it addictive. This one’s named after one of the most beautiful high points in the county. If you’ve ever watched the sun hit the granite up there, you know exactly the kind of mood this drink is going for—clean, golden, and energizing.

Lumberjack

Latte with Maple Pancake Syrup + White Mocha
We wanted to make a breakfast latte that felt like putting on a flannel and heading into the woods. It’s hearty, sweet, and hits like a warm plate of pancakes on a cold morning. Definitely not subtle, but honestly, neither are we.

Manzanita

Latte with Caramel + White Mocha + Strawberry
This one is soft and earthy with just a hint of wild. Manzanita bushes grow all over up here—twisting red bark, tiny pink flowers. We wanted this drink to reflect that balance: grounded and sweet, rugged and beautiful all at once.

Wildflower

Rose Lemonade + Red Bull
Delicate, floral, and a little fizzy—this drink is pure Sierra spring. It’s named for those first wildflowers that pop up after winter, the ones that make you pull over just to take a picture. It’s soft, a little surprising, and totally worth slowing down for.

Sierra Sunrise

Red Bull with Pineapple Juice + Pineapple + Cherry Syrup
Tropical meets mountain morning. This drink is straight-up sunshine: bold, juicy, and impossible to ignore. It reminds us of early drives into Yosemite—windows down, sky glowing pink, and that feeling that something good is about to happen.

Wrap-Up

Every drink on our menu has a little story behind it. Some are tied to places, some to people, and some just to a feeling we wanted to bottle up. Next time you stop by, ask us about the name behind your favorite—we’d love to tell you.

And who knows—maybe the next drink we create will be named after one of your favorite Sierra memories.
